Viktor Rufus

Viktor is a multi-disciplinary guitarist, MD, composer, producer, arranger, educator and mentor.

Born and raised in the Australian countryside, Viktor has carved out a dynamic career performing over 1,200 shows across Australia, New York City, and Berlin. His sound—often compared to a fusion of Radiohead and Bon Iver—spans rock, pop, folk, and experimental styles, with an emphasis on improvisation and textural depth.

From intimate duos to expansive extended ensembles, he adapts his compositions to all settings. Beyond his own projects, he has collaborated as a sideman and recording musician across genres ranging from jazz and classical to hip-hop and neo-soul.

Now based in Berlin, Viktor is the brainchild of Möbius, an improvised hip-hop and progressive soul jam series. This project combines live instrumental cueing and organic collaborations, creating a dynamic, multidisciplinary experience.

An avid educator, Viktor continues to teach students worldwide, developing beginner-friendly guitar methods that integrates practical musicianship with theory. His goal is to create an accessible platform to reach aspiring guitarists globally.
